Marathon Training Week 22!

Good evening everyone! I hope you have all had a great week! Work just keeps getting busier! You know what helps? Running! I always feel less stressed after a run or workout. Running has become my solace. It is my getaway. Even though sometimes I feel like I am dying during my runs, I feel a sense of peace. There are a few things I forgot to mention last week. Since I got 1st for my age group for my half marathon a couple weeks ago, I won a free pair of running shoes! Yay! I used a promo code given for On Running! I also bought new shoes from Merrell with a gift card for coming in first for a local 5k a couple of months ago! Yay for new running shoes! I am going to be using the Merrell shoes for Tough Mudder in Nashville next week! I am super stoked about it! Since I will be out of town my post will either come a day late or I will not have a post for two weeks! Marathon Training Week 21!

Good evening everyone! I hope you have all had a great week! Mine was busy, but good! Work has been so busy and only looking like it is going to get busier! This week, I went to trivia and it was really fun! I also went to the movies and ate a Japanese restaurant for my brother's birthday! Ramen and takoyaki are soooo delicious 😍! I hope to go to Japan one day! That is the dream! Here is my training week in review: Week 21: Marathon Specific Training Monday 9/16/19: Tempo Run 2 mile Warm Up 3 mile Tempo at HM 1 mile Warm Down My run was not too great this morning. I re-calculated my paces using a website and my half-marathon results. It said my new easy pace is 8:00min/mile which I did for warm up and warm down. It also said my new tempo run training pace is 6:39min/mile. I did it a little slower at 6:48min/mile. I also did not get my heart rate up to the Orange Zone, but I tried. I was just a little too tired from the half marathon. I did not do enough stretch

Marathon Training Week 20: Second Half Marathon Completed!!!

Good evening everyone! This week was a busy but really good week. I went to the movies, my friend's baby's 1 year birthday party (he's adorable), and had my second ever half-marathon race! To celebrate that, definitely went to Red Lobster! I also started watching Harry Potter again 😆! My training was so-so this week. I also tried really hard to focus on calorie consumption and macro-nutrient percentages, which were not the best, but that's okay. The previous two weeks I hadn't been the best on calories consumed, but they mostly were still falling within maintenance range (not cutting which is still currently my goal). This week I tried carb loading on Friday and Saturday. Felt so bloated! I can't believe I only have 5 more weeks left of training! It is so crazy! Good afternoon everyone! I am sorry I did not post last weekend! I just got so busy with the holiday weekend! I went to a greek festival and the movies. It was a fun and busy weekend! This weekend was pretty busy as well. I went to watch IT Chapter 2! I enjoyed it! Last weekend, I finished watching Harry Potter! I think I am going to rematch it again! I may have a problem lol! This weekend, I watched the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. I also plan on rematching that. I forgot how much I loved it! Here are my last two training weeks in review! I can.t believe how close my Marathon is! Time to buckle down! I am sorry, I am not sure what my speeds were during my workouts. I have been playing around with them; however, I think I pushed it just a little too hard this last week. My long run really reflects that.
